Cardiology

Cardiology consultations are intended for assessment of the heart and circulatory system, identification of risk factors, and more precise diagnosis. Treatment and monitoring plans are developed individually, based on clinical data.

About Cardiology

Cardiology is a field of medicine that studies and treats diseases of the heart and cardiovascular system. At Tavo Klinika, cardiology services are provided by experienced specialists who perform comprehensive cardiac function examinations and develop individualized treatment and monitoring plans.
These services are intended both for patients experiencing symptoms and for those who wish to take a preventive approach to their heart health.

Echocardiography with Doppler Imaging

Echocardiography is an ultrasound examination that allows assessment of the heart muscle, septa, and valves, as well as the direction and speed of blood flow. Doppler echocardiography provides precise information about cardiac function and helps diagnose heart failure, valvular disease, and other structural abnormalities.
The examination is completely safe and painless and may be performed both for preventive purposes and in the presence of symptoms such as shortness of breath, chest pain, or heart rhythm disturbances. Echocardiography enables the physician to evaluate heart function in real time and make more accurate treatment decisions.

Electrocardiogram (ECG)

An electrocardiogram (ECG) is a fast, non-invasive, and informative cardiac examination that records the electrical activity of the heart. ECG helps identify heart rhythm and conduction disorders, circulatory abnormalities, signs of myocardial infarction, and cardiac muscle strain.
The test is performed by placing electrodes on the chest, arms, and legs, and the results immediately reflect the characteristics of heart activity. ECG is recommended not only when symptoms are present, but also for preventive purposes—especially for older individuals or those with cardiovascular risk factors.

Exercise Stress Test (Bicycle Ergometry)

Bicycle ergometry is a cardiac function assessment performed during physical exertion using a stationary bicycle. During the test, changes in heart rate, blood pressure, and ECG are monitored to evaluate how the heart responds to increasing physical load.
The test helps diagnose angina pectoris, heart rhythm disorders, and determine physical capacity limits. Bicycle ergometry is recommended for individuals experiencing chest pain or shortness of breath during physical activity, as well as after treatment of heart disease to assess recovery progress and functional capacity.

Holter Monitoring (24–48 Hours)

Holter monitoring is a long-term heart rhythm monitoring test in which the patient wears a small device for 24–48 hours that continuously records the electrical activity of the heart.
This examination helps detect rhythm disturbances that may not be identified during a short ECG and allows evaluation of heart function during normal daily activities. Holter monitoring is particularly useful for patients experiencing palpitations, irregular heartbeat sensations, dizziness, or brief episodes of loss of consciousness. The test is completely painless and provides valuable information for further diagnosis and treatment planning.
